Adding dishes to restaurant menu
Before entering dishes to your menu, it is important to understand some key concept. Following bullets explains these concepts.
- Every dish on the menu belongs to a category. For example, appetizers, entrees, sides, drinks.
- Some categories can be hidden from the main menu and only makes sense when accompanied by a dish. An example of such category is Pizza toppings.
- A dish can only be associated with one category.
- One dish can be served in one or more sizes
Adding categories
Before entering menu items, you must enter categories. Follow the steps below to add one or more categories.- Log in to your website as an Administrator
- Select Custom Applications tab and click Restaurant Menu
- Click Manage Menu Categories
- Enter a new value for Category name and description
- Click the Add Category button.
- Enter as many categories as you like
Adding dishes
After adding categories, you are ready to enter dishes. Following steps demonstrate how to add a dish.- Log in to your website as an Administrator
- Select Custom Applications tab and click Restaurant Menu
- Click Manage dishes on the menu
- Click Add a dish for the desired category
- Specify name, description and other parameters for the dish
- If you have added images for your dishes you will be able to select an image from list.
